The Barefoot Blog… - Page9

She is following her own yellow brick road, my barefoot conversation with Leah Cox.

I'm doing the last few online things before getting ready to head off with my family for a digital detox to Tiree (a Scottish Island in the Outer Hebrides)   It's a first time for me, after years of talking about going, but after my stint last month to Lewis, the call to head out there again was super strong. The plan is to do lots of boogie boarding, get lots of fresh air, eat yummy food, read and watch…

Are you pushing in any way?

I get it, I really do, this human experience can be really tough. Of course we all camouflage our experience of it by thinking we can stay in the shallow waters, but at some point or other, the deep waters of life call us. Just like ships we were not built to stay in safe harbours.   So often the truth scares us and yet we ultimately we cannot ignore it’s pull. Like a golden thread of October, the desire…

It’s vital to enjoy the resting place.

Last week as I started a fairly regular climb up our local hill, called The Law I found myself chuckling. A new sign has been popped up at the start of the trail. It says ‘Summit Path’, with an arrow pointing, in the correct direction, clearly there to guide newbies in the right direction. The reason for the chuckle, is that The Law, as it's known locally is I believe less than 200 metres/700 feet to the top as it…

When all we see is fog?

I’m sitting at my desk looking out to sea, but unlike most days, I can't actually see it. In fact if I had just teleported myself into this room from another time and place, and looked out of the window without any previous reference, I would have no idea that the sea was actually there. Anything could be behind that wall of fog. However the fact remains I know that the sea is there, so even though I can’t see…

Do you secretly want to say goodbye?

I shared this poem on Facebook and Instagram the other day, and it sums up the essence and feeling behind the upcoming Barefoot Circle of Light which starts next Monday. I am however mindful, that my most valued means of sharing, is via my mailing list, and that not all of you use these other mediums; however even if you did, because of the algorithms in place, you might never see it, hence my repost as a blog. But before…

The Human adventure.

Hi there, Bernie has asked me to start this blog to you today. We think it feels a fun way to go about it too, (we like amusing ourselves) so we do hope you enjoy!! You already know me, or at least Dear One, I know you very well. To say  I’m a huge, huge fan is an understatement! I am, known to some, as Source, others as Consciousness, or as God, Grace, Nature, call me what you will, it’s…

A miracle of gravity

A miracle of gravity. As you weave the letters of your life, don't forget the toil and strife. Don't forget the loss and pain, and let's remember all the shame. But please remember, to look behind, and see the light, that shines, and shines. As you weave your web of life, a miracle of gravity, The light, that glimmers, glistens, and glows, in the dark, in the midst of chaos, knows, of a story, brave and bold and free, so…

It’s time to dive in and wake up..

When our mental focus, is outwards and let's face it, that is, a lot of the time, what is mirrored back to us, can throw us. It's hard to accept what we see sometimes, and the truth is when we find it hard to accept what we see mirrored back to us, it's in my experience anyway, a form of feedback showing us that we are totally out of our own inner balance. At the same time, when we are…

Buckle up and follow your nose…

As I start to write this, I’m sitting on the train, having just left Glasgow. My purpose for being there, is still not totally known to me. I am simply, choosing to trust, that my curiosity needs to be acted upon with more conviction than ever before. So with curiosity aroused I signed up to attend a free 'key note speakers' event, which was being filmed for the speakers websites, and unlike the hundreds, I imagined, it turned out to…

Are you ready to be honest with the Universe?

I’m sitting, in a lovely little villa, in Mallorca. The air, has that lovely fragrant smell, of well- the Mediterranean I guess, in late spring. Actually, since I sat down to write, it has started to rain. LOL, so I’m now sitting with a blanket wrapped around me with a hot cup of tea beside me, but no matter I’m here. The rain will come and it will go and that feels truly expanded in itself. I’ve been here once…
